Introduction

The Intervarsity Biochemistry Seminar (IBS) is an annual activity organized by a host university with support from the Malaysian Society for Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (MSBMB). Every year, undergraduate students from public and private local universities are invited to present their findings based on their final year projects related to the field of biochemistry, molecular biology and life sciences in general.

The IBS Committee of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) is formed by students from the Biochemistry programme under the Faculty of Science and Technology who will be responsible for organizing the 33rd Intervarsity Biochemistry Seminar scheduled to be held on 9th December 2023.

The theme of this event is “Biochemistry: From Molecules to Life”. The seminar will involve oral and poster presentations by the students and will also feature talk by the invited speaker. The participants will be judged separately in their own category by MSBMB EXCO members and academic judges from each participating university.

Each presenter will be given 10 + 5 minutes for the presentation and Q&A session. The best 3 oral presenters will be awarded. Please check the submission form below for more information.
